PASIGHAT, Feb 11: Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering accompanied by the DC Tayi Taggu, Bilat CO TD Bapu, PRI leaders and GBs today inspected the under construction MMJ (Mirem-Mikong-Jonai) road and PLT (Pasighat-Ledum-Tene) road and bridges. He instructed the construction agencies to strictly maintain the quality as per DPR and complete the project in time and ensure durability.
Later, addressing a public meeting at Mirem, Ering stated that the governance reforms undertaken in recent time by the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu has been unprecedented in economic growth and prosperity of the state and therefore politics should not be used as hindrance to the development. Long pending border issues of East Siang with neighboring Assam was resolved amicably and that would usher in a new era of development, he expressed hope. Listing out ongoing projects and achievements of his jurisdiction, the MLA opined that people should shun politics and come together for bumper development of their own areas. Quoting that “Development does not happen overnight; it needs cooperation of the people and continuous efforts by the elected leaders and other stakeholders”, the veteran leader stated adding that he was committed to bring all-round development of the entire constituency. Priorities would be given to education, health, drinking water supply, electricity, irrigation and road connectivity, besides taking up other pending issues. Most of the projects have high degree of readiness and few were already under implementation, he informed. Ering advised the people to take good care of education of their children and be vigilant against drug abuse among the school going children.
After patient hearing public priorities and grievances, the MLA held open discussion with the DC and local officers and instructed them to ensure smooth delivery of all people oriented services. Ering also laid stress on hike of wages/salaries of Anganwadi workers and vocational teachers and assured to raise the issue at appropriate level.
Early this morning, MLA Ering along with DC Tayi Taggu inaugurated the 8th Seva Apke Dwar 2.0 (SAD) at Mirem Hr. Secondary School where twenty six departments provided doorstep services. Lauding the efforts of district administration, the MLA said it was a comprehensive citizen-centric initiative to accelerate public awareness and hassle-free connectivity between the government and public. SAD was being appreciated not only in East Siang but was also praised by the people of entire Arunachal Pradesh.
DC Taggu advised the people to be united, peace-loving, maintain cleanliness, hygiene and to be law abiding and take part in development process as partner. Under Seva Apke Dwar, public welfare schemes of the government would widely be disseminated among people and ensure maximum benefits was provided to the general public, he said.
