PASIGHAT,
09, NOV.: Education Minister PD Sona , while declaring open the Annual 57th College Day celebrations of JNC has stressed on holistic education
beyond classroom teachings/academics in
moulding our students and future generation of the state and the nation . Sona
reiterated on the objectives of the NEP 2020 in holistic development of
students and channellising their potentials in the right direction adding that “ youth is the power house of the country”.
Sona along
with Transport Minister Ojing Tasing lit
the Olympic torch to mark the celebrations
with the Olympic torch carried by Miss Albena Doley & Shri Karmin
Tekseng.
Host of
dignitaries including Transport and RD Minister, Ojing Tasing, MLAs Ninong
Ering, Tapi Darang, ADC Hq, Pebika Lego, Principal JNC , Dr.Tasi Taloh, Chief
Councillor, PMC,Okiam Moyong Borang, Vice -Principal , Dr.Leki Sitang , JNC
Alumni President Anning Borang, public leaders, faculty members ,staff and
enthusiastic students were part of the to mark the start of the JNC 57th HillTop Radiance
celebrations here at lower campus today. .
Sona also
lauded the pioneering milestones achieved by team JNC in taking
forward the higher education sector to
nurture thousands of young minds /students from different corners of the state
since its establishment embodying the
true of spirit of Pan-Arunachal.
Sona
exhorted the students representing their respective Houses named after lofty Peaks of Arunachal Pradesh – Lohitang , Kamdi, Kangto and Dapha - for
displaying spirit of
bonhomie,unity, teamspirit and
discipline ,creativity ,sportsmanship and strive for excellence in the various
literary, sporting ,creative and cultural events during the 57th
JNC’s Hill Top Radiance celebrations adding that sportsmanship is the true winner.
Responding
to a three-point memorandum submitted by GS JNCSU, Miss Yapung Hemi , including
boundary wall , college welcome gate , faculty augmentation,, drainage system for JNC
football ground i, Sona assured all
support and asked for submission of project proposals and estimates for consideration under BE.
The Guest
of Honour Minister for Transport , RD and Cooperation Ojing Tasing , an alumnus of JNC said that it delights him
to see the students excelling in various fields and called for innovation and futuristic outlook in their
academic pursuits . He spoke on the immense contribution of JNC in
human resource development of the state and urged for the legacy to be carry forward.
Tasing also assured all possible support
for easing the transportation issues faced by the students as apprised by GS
JNCSU Yapung Hemi in her speech.
Earlier
Principal, JNC , Dr. Tasi Taloh, presented the growth of the pioneer college
set up in 1964 to become one of the most respected institutions in the
state, noted for its academic rigour,cultural diversity and dedication to
shaping the leaders of tomorrow. At present JNC has 78 faculty members imparting quality education to around 5000
students with 14 UG departments in Arts, Science & Commerce and four PG
departments and producing maximum
University Toppers The students of has
brough laurels for the college through remarkable achievements in academics, sports ,Arts and cultural fields through their sustained commitment,
hardwork and excellence. Taloh also highlighted the dedicated contributions of
the faculty members of JNC in the academic excellence, research,publications
and community service.
GS , JNCSU, Yapung Hemi made submission of memorandum to the Education Minister and Transport
Minister while Vote of thanks to the
visiting dignitaries was extended by AGS, JNCSU Shri Anggit Moyong

Walk Past with departmenst of Hindi and Phyisics taking the first and second
place among the walkpast contidents, Mega dance by students, Band display by
VKV Oyan etc.s
