In line with the ongoing nationwide campaign, Zilla Parishad Chairperson of Upper Siang Lumgeng Litin, today officially launched the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan along with the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah Campaign at the District Hospital, Yingkiong.
He also inaugurated Mega Blood Donation Drive (Raktdan Amrit Mahotsava) - a voluntary blood donation camp organized by the Blood Centre, District Hospital Yingkiong.
During his address Lumgeng Litin emphasized the importance of women’s health and the urgent need to break pre-
conceived notions that hinder women’s empowerment. He remarked, “When a woman is healthy and enlightened, the entire family thrives in knowledge and well-being.” He urged the Health Department to proactively implement the program across all remote areas of the district, ensuring that every woman and child is reached and benefits from the initiative.
Lumgeng Litin further lauded the efforts medical officers and staffs of the District Hospital Yingkiong, commending their dedication and commitment towards delivering quality healthcare services to the public.
